Cloud Data Engineer (M/F)

Alex is currently looking for their next Cloud Data Engineer to join the Data team.

Your mission:

• Design, deploy, and maintain a scalable, secure, and easy-to-use Data platform.
• Support Data teams from the design phase through to the production deployment of their products and services.

• Evolve the platform by improving its reliability, performance, costs, and usage.

Concretely, you will:

• Participate in the deployment of new Data services and new architectures across the different countries of the group.
• Automate deployments and implement smooth and efficient CI/CD pipelines.

• Strengthen the stability, performance, and continuity of operation of cloud services in production.
• Implement and improve monitoring, observability, and diagnostic tools for the platform.

• Contribute to the optimization of cloud resources and costs related to AWS, Snowflake, and LLM usage.
• Reinforce cloud security best practices, particularly regarding access management, IAM roles, and privilege levels.

• Develop self-service services tailored to the needs of ML Engineers, Data Analysts, and business teams.
• Make the platform more easily searchable and exploitable by LLMs in order to accelerate incident diagnosis and problem resolution.

• Work daily with Cloud Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams.

The profile we are looking for:

You are a graduate of an engineering school or an equivalent training program.

You have knowledge in cloud computing, ideally on AWS: EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, and IAM.

You have already worked with Terraform and a CI/CD tool, such as GitLab CI.

You are sensitive to topics of security, automation, reliability, and environment optimization.

You are curious, autonomous, rigorous, and like to understand the causes of a problem before proposing a solution.

You are able to communicate in English, both written and spoken, in a technical context.

Do you not yet master all of these tools? What matters to us is your ability to learn, to reason on various subjects, and to progress in a demanding environment.
