Job Description The Warranty Engineer is responsible for managing and processing automotive warranty claims in accordance with manufacturer warranty policies, technical requirements, and company procedures. The role ensures that warranty claims are accurately reviewed, technically validated, properly documented, and submitted within the required timelines to maximize warranty recovery and minimize claim rejections. Key Responsibilities Review warranty repair orders and verify vehicle warranty eligibility based on manufacturer terms and conditions.

Review and validate technical diagnoses, repair procedures, replaced parts, labor operations, and failure information before submitting warranty claims.

Ensure all warranty claims are complete, accurate, and supported by the required technical documentation and evidence.

Prepare and submit warranty claims through the applicable manufacturer warranty system within the defined deadlines.

Monitor submitted claims and follow up on pending, approved, rejected, or returned claims.

Investigate warranty claim rejections, identify the reasons, and coordinate with the relevant departments to resolve them.

Ensure warranty repairs are performed in accordance with manufacturer repair procedures and technical standards.

Coordinate with Service Advisors, Workshop Engineers, Technicians, Parts, Finance, and other relevant departments to ensure proper warranty claim processing.

Verify warranty replacement parts and ensure they are correctly recorded, tagged, stored, and handled according to manufacturer requirements.

Maintain accurate warranty documentation, claim records, repair orders, technical reports, and supporting evidence.

Communicate with manufacturer warranty teams regarding claim clarifications, technical cases, approvals, and rejected claims.

Stay updated on manufacturer warranty policies, technical bulletins, service campaigns, recalls, and changes in warranty procedures.

Monitor warranty claim trends and identify recurring technical or process-related issues.

Prepare regular warranty reports covering claim status, approvals, rejections, recovery, and outstanding claims.

Support internal and manufacturer warranty audits by providing the required records and documentation.

Identify opportunities to improve warranty claim accuracy, processing time, compliance, and recovery.

Ensure all warranty activities comply with company policies, manufacturer standards, and applicable procedures.

Provide guidance to service and workshop teams regarding warranty requirements and proper claim documentation.

Bachelor’s degree in automotive engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering , or a related technical field.

3–5 years of relevant experience in automotive warranty, after-sales, workshop, service engineering, or technical operations.

Experience in an automotive dealership or authorized service center is preferred.

Good knowledge of automotive systems, components, diagnosis, and repair processes.

Good understanding of automotive warranty policies and claim procedures.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Experience with DMS, ERP, or manufacturer warranty systems is an advantage.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Ability to manage multiple claims and meet deadlines.
