Registered Nurse/Midwife
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized nursing and midwifery care based on each patient's clinical needs, preferences, and care plan.
Conduct nursing assessments, monitor vital signs, and document patients' conditions and progress accurately.
Provide antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and gynecological nursing care in accordance with established clinical standards.
Monitor pregnant women and mothers during labour, identify changes in condition, and promptly escalate concerns to the attending physician or appropriate clinical team.
Assist with and support normal vaginal deliveries, including preparation, monitoring, immediate newborn care, and post-delivery support.
Provide postnatal care to mothers and newborns, including breastfeeding support, newborn monitoring, maternal education, and discharge preparation.
Administer medications, treatments, and prescribed therapies safely and accurately.
Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, minor surgeries, and other clinical interventions.
Educate patients and families on medications, treatment plans, pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and women's health.
Provide emotional support and reassurance while maintaining patients' privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and cultural preferences.
Develop and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with patients, ensuring they feel heard, respected, and cared for throughout their hospital experience.
Monitor patients for changes in clinical status and promptly report abnormalities or emergencies.
Maintain accurate and timely nursing notes, patient records, care plans, medication charts, and clinical documentation.
Support infection prevention and control practices, including proper hand hygiene, sterilization, waste disposal, and use of personal protective equipment.
Prepare patients for investigations, procedures, surgeries, and discharge, providing appropriate instructions and follow-up information.
Coordinate with doctors, laboratory staff, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and participate in resuscitation and other emergency interventions within scope of practice.
Promote patient safety by adhering to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and professional nursing and midwifery standards.
Participate in patient follow-up and contribute to a seamless patient-centred care experience from admission through discharge.
Identify patient concerns and contribute to service improvements that enhance patient satisfaction, comfort, and quality of care.
Participate in health education activities, women's health awareness programs, and other hospital initiatives.
Maintain professional competence through continuous learning, training, and adherence to current nursing and midwifery practices.
Requirements: Minimum qualification: Degree 3 years of previous experience in a similar role
