Retail Assistant Store Manager

JOB TITLE: Assistant Store Manager LOCATION: Touchwood Shopping Centre, Solihull CONTRACT: Full Time, Permanent HOURS: 40 hours per week SHIFT PATTERN: Typically Tuesday and Saturday off PAY RATE: Starting at £28,800 per annum.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Apricot team! We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at our exciting new store opening. Working closely with the Store Manager, you’ll play an important role in helping to establish the store, lead the team and create an exceptional experience for every customer. You’ll bring strong fashion retail experience, a passion for delivering great customer service and the confidence to lead by example.

What you’ll be doing As part of the store’s senior team, you’ll help drive the day-to-day performance of the store, supporting the Store Manager to achieve sales and KPI targets while maintaining the high standards we expect across our stores.

Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the Store Manager with the overall performance and day-to-day running of the store

Leading by example and driving sales and KPI performance

Delivering excellent customer service and encouraging the team to do the same

Motivating, coaching and mentoring the team to help them reach their potential

Supporting with recruitment, onboarding and developing new team members

Monitoring store performance and taking action where needed

Maintaining high standards of presentation and ensuring the store reflects our visual merchandising guidelines

Ensuring all necessary paperwork and administration is completed accurately and on time

Supporting the team to maintain excellent operational standards

Providing support and leadership in the Store Manager’s absence

Helping to create a positive, inclusive and enjoyable environment for both our customers and our team

What we’re looking for We’re looking for someone who is confident leading a team and enjoys the pace and variety of fashion retail.

You’ll ideally have: Previous management or supervisory experience within retail

Experience working with sales targets and KPIs

Strong customer service skills

Experience supporting recruitment and developing team members

A passion for fashion and an interest in our brand

Excellent communication and organisational skills

The ability to motivate and inspire others

A proactive and positive approach

The ability to multitask and work well under pressure

Flexibility and adaptability

A willingness to learn and develop

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who leads by example, enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering great results.
