Java Technical Lead

Daily tasks

• Designing and implementing solutions based on microservices architecture using Java technology.
• Creating and developing APIs, integrations, and solutions communicating with the EIS platform and the Client Group systems.
• Co-creating system architecture and making technical decisions in accordance with the program assumptions.
• Ensuring the quality, performance, security, and scalability of delivered solutions.
• Designing solutions using architectural patterns, Event-Driven Architecture, and the Domain-Driven Design (DDD) approach.
• Participating in the analysis, design, and estimation of business and technical requirements.
• Supporting Product Owners, analysts, and architects in assessing solution feasibility and identifying technical risks.
• Participating in Discovery and Inception workshops, including the decomposition of Epics into Features and preparing the backlog for implementation.
• Conducting code review, mentoring developers, and developing the team's technical competencies.
• Supporting the team in solving technical problems and maintaining high software development standards.
• Collaborating with project, architectural, and integration teams, as well as external vendors.
• Co-participating in defining and implementing CI/CD, observability, and DevOps processes.
• Supporting the preparation and maintenance of developer, integration, and test environments, including solutions based on Docker and Kubernetes.
• Identifying, analyzing, and escalating technical risks that may affect program implementation.
• Supporting the use of modern AI and Agentic AI tools in the software development process and automation of developer tasks.

Requirements

Requirements:   The role requires active coding for approximately 75% of working time – very good knowledge of Java supported by practical production experience is essential. Minimum 5+ years of experience in designing and building (web) systems Experience in building microservices architectures and distributed systems. Very good knowledge of: > architectural and integration patterns, > API design and system integration, > DDD (Domain-Driven Design), Practical knowledge of: > relational databases (SQL, query optimization) > Event-Driven Architecture > observability (end-to-end) > application security principles, Experience in: > code review, mentoring, and leading a technical team, > cross-team collaboration, > co-creating technological decisions and risk assessment, Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) Knowledge of English (min. B2)

Nice to have:   Basic/practical knowledge of cloud (Azure preferred), Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps, Knowledge of Agentic AI / AI in SDLC (e.g., using AI in development, automation, architectural decision support).
