MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Plan, supervise, and coordinate mechanical engineering works at construction project sites. Monitor the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment in accordance with project specifications. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of mechanical works. Conduct site inspections to ensure mechanical installations comply with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards. Prepare work schedules, progress reports, technical documentation, and project records. Identify technical issues during construction and recommend appropriate corrective actions. Monitor the performance and operation of mechanical equipment and support troubleshooting activities when required. Ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available to meet project requirements. Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, permit-to-work procedures, and company policies. Attend project meetings and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle. Perform other engineering and site-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in mechanical engineering, construction projects, or site engineering.
- Good knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
- Experience in site coordination, project execution, and quality control is an advantage.
- Good problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
- Familiarity with workplace safety requirements and construction site safety practices.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Willing to work at different project sites, weekends, public holidays, and flexible hours based on project requirements.
- No formal educational qualification required.
