A favourite song. A familiar routine. A treasured memory. Behind every behaviour is a person with a unique story.

One moment you are supporting a resident experiencing distress through evidence-based interventions. The next, you are collaborating with nurses, therapists and social workers to better understand behaviours, strengthen care plans, and empower residents to continue living well.

We think you will enjoy this role if you:

  • Are curious about human behaviour and enjoy solving complex challenges
  • Stay calm, compassionate and thoughtful in difficult situations
  • Enjoy working closely with people from different professional background
  • Value research, continuous learning and evidence-based practice
  • Communicate confidently with residents, families and colleagues

You will be responsible for:

  • Conducting psychological and behavioural assessments to better understand residents' needs, strengths and preferences
  • Implementing evidence-based psychosocial and behavioural interventions for residents experiencing Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD)
  • Working closely with nurses, social workers, therapists and other care professionals to develop and evaluate person-centred interventions
  • Facilitating therapeutic and psychosocial programmes that promote cognitive stimulation, emotional well-being and meaningful engagement
  • Contributing to research projects, quality improvement initiatives and the development of innovative dementia care practices

What matters most
