Principal/ Senior Engineer (Communications Systems)

Your tasks

esponsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of 24/7 mission-critical aviation communications systems to ensure reliability, availability, and operational efficiency.
• Manage and support projects involving the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of communications systems.
• Ensure communications systems comply with relevant international standards, industry regulations, and best practices.
• Identify and implement improvements to existing systems, including both software and hardware components.
• Work closely with operational users, internal development teams, equipment suppliers, contractors, and external stakeholders to support project delivery and system maintenance.
• Coordinate with relevant public sector agencies and international stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and smooth implementation of communications projects.
• Participate in investigation and problem resolution of technical issue
• Enhancement of both software and hardware components of existing communications system
• Contract management for operations and maintenance, systems enhancements and new projects
• Evaluate emerging technologies to assess suitability for use in existing or new communications systems
• Undertake activities related to communications systems and other aeronautical-related systems

Requirements

• Strong systems, network and cybersecurity background preferred
• Keen interest in radiocommunication technologies and international regulations
• Self-motivated and strong team player who is able to work effectively at all levels of an organisation
• Strong analytical, writing and presentation skills
• Ability to coordinate, organise, prioritise and multi-task
