System Engineer
About the company
Our client, a global biopharmaceutical company, is looking for an experienced Digital Shopfloor Systems Support Engineer to support and improve the digital systems used in its GMP manufacturing facility in Singapore. You will manage the lifecycle of shopfloor systems such as MES and data historians, support IT-OT integration, and work closely with business users to deliver and improve digital solutions.
Your tasks
- Support the full lifecycle of shopfloor systems, including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), data historians and system integrations.
- Provide day-to-day support to business users: troubleshooting, incident management and resolving system issues.
- Support IT-OT integration between shopfloor systems, automation, ERP and plant connectivity platforms.
- Manage changes to systems through structured change management, in line with GxP and validation requirements.
- Identify and drive improvements to shopfloor system support processes and performance.
- Support application management and governance processes and activities.
- Provide project management and solution expertise for the delivery and improvement of digital solutions.
- Work with Manufacturing, Quality, IT, Automation and vendors to keep systems reliable, compliant and well documented.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience supporting shopfloor or manufacturing IT systems.
- Hands-on experience with MES, ERP, data historians (e.g. OSIsoft PI / AVEVA PI) and IIoT or plant connectivity platforms.
- Good knowledge of system architecture and IT-OT integration.
- Experience in incident management, change management, problem solving and project management.
- Experience working in GxP-regulated pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing, with a strong understanding of industry standards and computer system validation requirements.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with business users and cross-functional teams.
