Application Analyst

We are seeking a Junior Application Consultant to support the implementation, enhancement, maintenance, and testing of banking applications used in private banking and wealth management. The role involves assisting with Temenos Transact (T24), TAP, application integration, functional analysis, and production support while working closely with senior consultants, business users, and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in analysing business requirements and preparing functional specifications, application workflows, and process documentation.
• Support the configuration, enhancement, and maintenance of Temenos Transact (T24), TAP, and related banking applications.
• Assist with application workflows covering client onboarding, custody, securities processing, trade settlement, corporate actions, portfolio management, and client reporting.
• Support application integration with CRM systems, digital banking channels, reporting platforms, and downstream enterprise applications.
• Assist with data mapping, data validation, interface monitoring, and application data reconciliation.
• Participate in application upgrades, system enhancements, data migration, and implementation activities.
• Execute functional testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and regression testing based on defined test scenarios.
• Document test results, track defects, investigate application errors, and coordinate issue resolution with senior technical teams.
• Provide application maintenance and production support by monitoring incidents, analysing logs, and assisting with root-cause investigations.
• Support release management, deployment validation, change requests, and post-implementation checks.
• Prepare functional documents, process flow diagrams, test cases, user guides, and application support procedures.
• Collaborate with business analysts, operations teams, developers, QA engineers, and senior application consultants to deliver application enhancements.
• Follow established SDLC procedures, change management controls, information security policies, and banking technology standards.

Technical / Functional Requirements

• 5 years of experience in application development, application support, business systems analysis, or banking technology.
• Basic knowledge of banking applications, preferably in private banking, wealth management, securities services, or financial services operations.
• Familiarity with Temenos Transact (T24), TAP, or other core banking platforms will be an advantage.
• Understanding of banking processes such as client onboarding, custody, securities settlement, corporate actions, reconciliation, and portfolio reporting.
• Basic knowledge of SQL/SQL Server, database queries, data validation, and application troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with application interfaces, API integration concepts, data mapping, and system integration workflows.
• Exposure to SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect tracking, release management, and incident management.
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, functional documentation, and change management procedures.
• Exposure to TCS BaNCS, Murex, Sophis, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Intellimatch, or Datascope Select will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to learn banking systems, follow technical guidance, and collaborate effectively with business and technology teams.
