PURCHASING MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Develop and manage purchasing strategies based on forecasts and business requirements from the Sales and Marketing teams
• Source and develop competitive new vendors and suppliers for product manufacturing and raw material requirements
• evaluating existing suppliers based on quality, pricing, production capacity, delivery performance, and consistency.
• Ensure effective and efficient purchasing processes
• Responsible for maintaining the balance between operational requirements, cost efficiency, and company cash flow.
• Serve as the key liaison between vendors/suppliers and internal stakeholders, particularly Sales, Marketing, Warehouse, Finance, and other relevant teams.

REQUIREMENTS

• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Product Sourcing (preferably within the Fashion, Apparel, Garment, or Footwear industry).
• Possess strong analytical capabilities to translate business forecasts and requirements from Sales and Marketing
• Able to balance product availability, production requirements, raw material inventory, and the risks of overstock or stock shortages
• Experienced in sourcing, selecting, evaluating, and developing strategic relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Strong negotiation skills
• Able to work collaboratively across departments and high ownership, responsiveness to business needs, and strong reporting discipline.
