Guidewire Analyst

Project description: For a new project in the insurance industry, we are looking for a Business-System Analyst to join an experienced, 7-person scrum team working on solutions based on Guidewire InsuranceSuite, specifically Guidewire Policy Center. The team is autonomous and carries out the full production process — from requirements analysis to application delivery for implementation. The team includes individuals with experience in creating insurance products on the Guidewire platform (product model, rating, configuration, integrations).

Daily tasks

• Business analysis of insurance processes, conducting workshops, gathering and agreeing on requirements, and documenting them.
• System analysis and design of functionalities for systems based on Guidewire Policy Center.
• Creating detailed requirement specifications: domain model, use cases, interface mockups, system interface definitions.
• Preparing system documentation and supporting the creation of test scenarios (system, integration, UAT).
• Collaborating with architects to ensure the optimality of implemented solutions.
• Defining acceptance criteria and monitoring scope implementation.
• Participating in effort estimations for the development team.
• Assessing the feasibility and completeness of functional proposals.
• Maintaining communication between business and IT, conducting stakeholder meetings, and collaborating with other teams.
• Working in a scrum team according to Agile/SCRUM methodology.

Requirements

Requirements — must have:

Higher education.

Minimum 3 years of experience in an analyst role within an IT team.

Ability to model processes (e.g., UML, user story mapping).

Ability to document requirements (e.g., BPMN).

Knowledge of Agile and Scrum.

Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews, gather requirements, and decompose them to the level of IT system change specifications.

Knowledge of SQL for data analysis.

English language proficiency at B1/B2 level (reading documentation, communication with vendors).

Experience in the insurance industry with the Guidewire Policy Center platform.

Requirements — nice to have:

Technical education.

Experience in the insurance or financial industry.

Knowledge of the basics of the object-oriented programming paradigm and data processing methods (batch processing, workqueue, messaging/queues).

Knowledge of system integration methods (synchronous and asynchronous).

Knowledge of JSON and schema‑avro.

Certifications: IREB CPRE Practitioner, Scrum Product Owner/BA.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements (RODO/GDPR, Solvency II, DORA).

Must have: UML, BPMN, SQL
