Warehouse Manager
We are looking for a trustworthy, responsible and hands-on Manager/Cashier to oversee the day-to-day operations of our beverage distribution business
The role is a combination of management, cash handling, administration, stock oversight and sales support. The person will be expected to take responsibility for the smooth running of the business and ensure that daily operations are properly controlled and accounted for.
Main responsibilities include:
Handling, recording and reconciling daily cash and other payments. Monitoring daily sales and ensuring all sales are properly recorded and accounted for. Supervising the sales team, stock/warehouse team, drivers and loaders. Monitoring stock movement and working closely with the Stock Controller to identify and resolve discrepancies. Preparing accurate daily sales, stock and operational reports and submitting required reports to CCBA/Coca-Cola. Checking that deliveries, sales and collections are properly recorded. Following up on outstanding customer payments and ensuring company money is properly accounted for. Monitoring staff attendance, performance and general conduct. Handling day-to-day operational issues and making reasonable decisions when management is not immediately available. Assisting with customer service and resolving issues that may arise with customers or deliveries. Supporting the sales team in the market when necessary, including helping identify new customers and increase sales. Keeping business records, documents and computer-based reports organised and up to date. Maintaining confidentiality regarding company finances, customers, stock, pricing and business operations. Reporting any cash, stock, staff or operational irregularities immediately.
The ideal person should be:
Honest, trustworthy and highly accountable. Good with numbers, cash and record-keeping. Computer literate and comfortable working with Excel and other basic systems. A strong communicator and able to supervise people. A good decision-maker and problem solver. Organised, proactive and able to work with minimal supervision. Comfortable working in a busy FMCG/distribution environment. Flexible and willing to get involved in different areas of the business when needed. Mature enough to handle confidential business information and financial responsibility.
Previous experience in management, cashiering, FMCG, beverage distribution, stock control or a similar environment will be an advantage.
