About the role

We are seeking a qualified, experienced and passionate Head Gardener to keep our school grounds beautiful, safe and well maintained.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day care of lawns, flower beds, hedges, trees and shrubs
• Plan and implement landscaping designs and improvements

• Identify plants and manage their care, feeding, pruning and pest control
• Maintain high standards of garden aesthetics throughout the year

• Supervise and guide junior grounds staff
• Maintain gardening tools and equipment

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Gardening and Landscaping
• Minimum 4 years' relevant experience in professional gardening and landscaping

• Strong knowledge of plant identification, care and maintenance
• Experience in landscape design and implementation

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, disciplined and professional
