Construction Manager

Responsibilities:

Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion. Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs. Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with required standards. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory. Meet contractual conditions of performance. Review the work progress on a daily basis. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones. Analyse, manage and mitigate risks. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques. Liaising with the client, other construction professionals and, sometimes, members of the public Review engineering surveys for the selected roads and other structures Make any necessary changes to the design drawings as per the site conditions. Review the work programmes, resource, schedule, and project implementation plans  Ensure compliance with the work plans and complete the work within the specified time frame. Assess and evaluate performance and resources. Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project (or a package), Ensuring that specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress. Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety

Requirements:

A minimum of 5-10 years of experience and in-depth knowledge of road construction with the construction of concrete drains, culverts, paved roads etc, B.Eng. in civil engineering Ability to use surveying instruments and interpret survey data.
