Lead Data & Analytics Architect (m/f/d)

About us For an established company with a digital business model, we are looking for an experienced technical personality for the further development of a modern Data and Analytics platform. In this position, you will take on technical leadership regarding architectural questions. You will design a scalable Cloud data platform, develop technical standards, and support several product and development teams in the implementation of high-performance data solutions. The role combines strategic architectural work with practical technical consulting. Disciplinary leadership responsibility is not intended.

Your tasks • Responsibility for the target and reference architecture of a modern Data and Analytics platform • Further development of the technical architecture for Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, and data-based applications • Definition and establishment of technical standards, guardrails, and architectural principles • Conception of sophisticated data products and Analytics use cases • Support of development and product teams with architectural and design decisions • Accompanying teams in the connection of new data sources and applications • Ensuring performance, scalability, stability, security, and compliance • Evaluation of new technologies and derivation of a sustainable technical roadmap • Further development of Self-Service-Analytics and Data-Platform concepts • Translation of functional requirements into viable technical solutions • Technical coaching and communication of Best Practices without disciplinary leadership responsibility

Your profile • Several years of experience in the architecture and development of modern Data-Warehouse and Analytics platforms • Very good understanding of Cloud, Data-Platform, and DWH architectures • Experience with decentralized data architectures and domain-oriented data products • Sound knowledge in SQL, data modeling, as well as ETL and ELT processes • Experience with the processing of large and complex data volumes • Knowledge of a leading Public-Cloud environment and the associated data services • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automated development processes, and productive Cloud systems • Knowledge of Python, Java, or a comparable programming language is an advantage • Experience in collaborating with development, DevOps, and product teams • Ability to communicate technical decisions understandably and to convince through functional argumentation • Strong analytical and conceptual skills • Structured and independent way of working as well as high quality and security standards • Very good English skills; German skills are an advantage
