Medical Officer

Requirements:

Conducting patient consultations, clinical examinations and assessments. Making appropriate diagnoses and developing suitable treatment plans. Providing medical treatment, follow-up care and emergency management as required. Requesting and interpreting relevant laboratory and diagnostic investigations. Monitoring patients' progress and referring or escalating cases when necessary. Maintaining accurate, complete and confidential patient records. Communicating effectively with patients, relatives and other healthcare professionals. Working collaboratively with nurses, specialists and other members of the clinical team. Adhering to clinical guidelines, hospital policies, infection-control standards and patient-safety protocols. Participating in clinical audits, quality improvement and continuing professional development activities.

Requirements:

MBBS or equivalent medical degree. Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN). Valid and up-to-date MDCN practising licence. At least 1 year post-NYSC clinical experience is preferred. Good clinical reasoning, decision-making and patient management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Professionalism, reliability, accountability and respect for hospital structure. Must reside in Benin City.
