The context For one of our clients in insurance, we are looking for a senior Python Developer M/F to contribute to a structuring transformation program for the Actuarial Department. The challenge: progressively replacing historical actuarial tools, notably Prophet, with a new industrialized Python platform, which drives IFRS 17 and Solvency II results. Processing is orchestrated via Dataiku, executed on Databricks, in a hybrid Azure / On-Prem environment. A multi-year, strategic project, in a large-scale agile environment, at the crossroads of business, IT, data, and architecture teams, in France and internationally. Your missions Within the team in charge of the new actuarial platform, in close link with the actuaries, the Tech Lead, and the Program Director: Design and develop the Python components of actuarial calculation models
Industrialize and optimize large-scale processing on Databricks
Integrate developments into the hybrid Azure / On-Prem environment, via Dataiku
Contribute to quality: code performance, benchmarks, tests, documentation, reviews
Understand the needs of actuaries and evolve the tools accordingly
Navigate a mixed context: business, regulatory, and technical challenges
Profile sought Solid Python experience in production, a culture oriented towards performance and large data volumes. You know how to optimize a calculation pipeline as well as discuss with an actuary to understand what they really want. The insurance sector is not necessarily familiar to you, no need to be an actuary, the teams will bring you up to speed on the business.
Key skills Indispensable: Very good mastery of Python oriented towards intensive calculation: pandas, numpy, PySpark
Practice of code performance and benchmarking
Experience on Databricks or similar distributed processing environments
Comfortable in a transverse environment: business and IT stakeholders, several squads, strong governance
Autonomy, rigor, good interpersonal skills

Appreciated: Knowledge of Dataiku
Mastery of Dask or Ray for distributed Python calculation
Experience in banking / insurance or on regulatory projects (IFRS 17, Solvency II)
Experience on migration projects or modernization of legacy tools
