- End-to-End International Purchasing Management
- Manage the complete process from China: prospecting, sample requests, quoting, negotiation, order placement, production follow-up, shipment, and receipt at the plant.
- Negotiate with Chinese suppliers under Incoterms 2020 (FOB, CIF, EXW): price, lead times, MOQ, payment terms, and quality guarantees.
- International Logistics and Customs Management
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and Mexican customs agents: contracting maritime/air freight, document management (commercial invoice, packing list, BL, certificates of origin, MSDS, technical data sheets), and customs clearance.
- Supplier and Order Management in SAP
- Manage and keep the international supplier registry updated in SAP: new registrations, cancellations, performance evaluation (OTD, quality upon receipt, documentary compliance), and framework agreements.
- Budgetary Control and Total Cost Analysis (Landed Cost)
- Control the import budget by recording the total landed cost (FOB price + freight + insurance + duties + customs fees + IVA) and reporting deviations to the Supply Management.
- Coordination with Quality and Internal Areas
- Coordinate with Quality regarding the receipt and release of imported materials: checking against technical specifications, handling non-conformities, and returns/replacements with the supplier.
Specific Job Requirements
Experience and Education
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, International Business, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years in international purchasing or foreign trade, preferably with suppliers in Asia (priority).
- Verifiable experience in negotiation with Chinese manufacturers, coordination of imports, and foreign trade document management.
- SAP
- Intermediate-advanced Excel: pivot tables, shipment tracking, budgetary control, and import reports.
- Knowledge of import pedimentos, tariff classifications (TIGIE), and COFEPRIS regulations for cosmetic inputs — desirable.
- Intermediate-advanced English (minimum B2): written and verbal negotiation with Chinese suppliers — mandatory.
