Core Insurance System Owner / Team Lead (GI & Reinsurance)

Overview We are looking for a Core Insurance System Owner / Team Lead to take ownership of a mission-critical General Insurance (GI) core system . This role covers both BAU operations and enhancement/project work , with a strong focus on GI products, processes, and reinsurance . Experience with Premia is highly preferred. Candidates with experience managing other GI core policy systems , combined with Oracle database exposure , will also be considered. This is a permanent role based in Singapore . Key Responsibilities Own and manage the GI core insurance system , covering day-to-day BAU support and ongoing enhancements

Lead BAU operations , including incident management, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution

Support system upgrades, enhancements, and project initiatives

Work closely with business users, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure system effectiveness

Ensure system stability, data integrity, performance, and compliance

Provide subject-matter expertise on GI products, policy lifecycle, and reinsurance processes

Support and manage knowledge transfer and guide team members supporting the core system

Requirements Minimum 10 years of experience supporting or managing insurance core systems , preferably within General Insurance (GI)

Hands-on experience with Premia is strongly preferred Candidates without Premia may be considered if they have managed GI core policy systems

Strong understanding of GI insurance products and end-to-end policy processes

Good working knowledge of reinsurance processes (e.g. treaty, facultative, bordereaux, accounting flows)

Exposure to Oracle-based systems / Oracle databases

Comfortable balancing BAU support alongside project and enhancement work

Strong stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills

Background from an insurance company, system integrator, or core insurance system vendor is advantageous

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
