Plating Lab Engineer
POSITION SUMMARY :
Provide technical support to the plating department laboratory and engineering and manufacturing activities. To resolve all chemical related issues. Major in charge precious metal balance.
Job Descriptions
- Use and/or calibrate analytical equipment
- Perform precious metal balance report
- Control the preventive measure
- Perform chemical analyses on both plating bath and waste plant’s discharge
- Carry out chemical maintenance as plan by chemist
- Support DI/ waste plant operation
- Support to resolve process or line issue
- Maintain chemical inventory
- Purchasing of chemical used by the lab and production
- Conduct training to laboratory technician on handling and analyzing of chemical, equipment and instrumentation used
- To authorize for plating production line stoppage when chemical process or quality related issues occurred
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Min three years experiences in Laboratory work in related chemical industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of chemical safety
- Demonstrated knowledge of analytical instrumentation for electrodeposition
- Demonstrated knowledge on chemical analysis and chemical instrumentation associated with electronic connector technology
- Demonstrated ability to perform chemical analysis (ICP, AAS, UV, ASOMA etc)
- Ability to train others in proper handling of chemicals
- Ability to train others to perform chemical analysis
