CDI - Knitwear and Jersey Product Manager M/F

Within the Collection department, and under the responsibility of the Casual ready-to-wear product development Manager, you will be in charge of the development of the Knitwear and Jersey product categories. You are the interface between the studio, factories/suppliers, fabrics and trims, collection merchandising, and the production team in order to guarantee compliance with the House's style, quality, and prices/margins.

Product Development: Ensure the monitoring of the development process and the fine-tuning of knitwear and jersey products, from the launch of the first prototype to the collection delivery of SMS, until the handover to production

Knitwear material development: launch stitch/handfeel trials with factories while ensuring monitoring and technical feasibility

Jersey material development: launch trials of various techniques/effects/wash/embroidery/printing with factories while ensuring monitoring and technical feasibility

Creation of technical sheets and nomenclatures in the PLM to ensure the referencing of all collection information in the system

Guarantee compliance with retroplanning deadlines, costs, quality, and delivery times

Ensure industrial feasibility at each stage of product development

Be proactive in searching for solutions

Management of a manufacturer base of 10 factories (7 in knitwear, 3 in jersey)

Sourcing, Suppliers and Manufacturers: Research and development of materials with spinning mills and jersey manufacturers, proposing new techniques …

Yarn sourcing: meetings with spinning mills, sourcing at the Salon Pitti Filati

Requests for information from suppliers: prices, minimums, conditions, lead times ….

Daily follow-up with material suppliers and manufacturers (Portugal and Italy)

Sourcing of new factories to expand the manufacturer base

Collection Monitoring and Coordination: Monitoring the shipment of trials, prototypes, and SMS

Monitoring and negotiation of model and material prices

Monitoring of the collection budget (trials, prototypes, SMS, materials)

Updating collection tools: PLM, collection plans, price tables

Coordination of information between the studio, fabrics and trims, collection merchandising, production, and manufacturers

Monitoring of fittings and note-taking, participation in collection meetings, and workshops with the studio

Showroom and production: Participation in showroom preparation: collection delivery, price meetings, photo shoots for e-commerce

Creation of technical model descriptions for e-commerce

Creation of material books, client benefits ….

Participation in the collection brief

Participation in the handover of collection files during normalization with the production team

Confirmed experience in collection (or production) of at least 3 years as a Knitwear Product Manager (jersey experience is a real asset), ideally within a premium or accessible luxury brand

Solid knowledge of knitting techniques (gauges, yarns, stitches), the spinning mill industry and conditions, as well as finished product development processes

Knowledge of jersey textile finishing processes is a plus: embroidery, printing, washes ….

Strong sensitivity to products and materials, and knowledge of the market and trends. Attention to detail and high standards regarding quality

Team spirit, excellent interpersonal skills, proactive/initiative-driven.

Sense of organization and excellent priority management, adaptability, proactivity, and great rigor

Proficiency in professional English, both written and spoken, is required, as well as textile vocabulary; Italian is a plus

Mastery of Excel is essential

Knowledge of a PLM would be a real plus

Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously in a stimulating and empowering work environment within a growing House.

Travel to factories and trade fairs several times a year
