Security Agent

The Security Agent is responsible for supporting and promoting a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with company safety policies, operational procedures, and applicable safety regulations. This position assists in identifying potential hazards, conducting safety inspections, reporting incidents, and supporting preventive measures to reduce workplace risks. The Safety Agent works closely with operations, management, and employees to promote a strong safety culture, ensure adherence to safety standards, and support compliance with occupational health and safety requirements within the company’s facilities and operational areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned from time to time.

• Perform security inspections and controls in compliance with company policies, aviation security regulations, and applicable Honduran regulations.
• Conduct screening of, employees, cargo, vehicles, and facilities using approved security procedures and equipment.
• Verify identification credentials and authorize access to restricted areas.
• Perform patrols and security checks of assigned areas, including operational and cargo facilities.
• Ensure compliance with aviation security procedures established by the DSA and company security programs.
• Inspect cargo shipments to ensure compliance with security requirements before transportation.
• Prevent unauthorized access, theft, damage, or security breaches within company facilities.
• Prepare security reports, incident reports, and documentation related to security activities.
• Respond appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns.
• Coordinate with airport authorities, law enforcement agencies, and company departments when required.
• Participate in required security training, drills, and recurrent certification programs.
• Maintain confidentiality of security-related information.
• Support audits and inspections conducted by internal and external authorities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Preferably technical studies or training related to:
• Security Management
• Aviation Security (AVSEC)
• Risk Management
• Law Enforcement or Military training

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in security, aviation security, cargo operations, law enforcement, military, or related fields (preferable).
• Experience working in an airport environment is highly preferred. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or Honduran equivalent required.
• Technical studies or specialized training related to the airfreight industry are preferred.
• Previous experience in the airfreight industry is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Must possess strong interpersonal skills. Multi-lingual capabilities a plus.
