Interior Designer (Mid-Level)
About the Studio
Ameno is a small, high-end interior design studio. We work on a select number of premium projects at a time rather than scaling wide, which means close collaboration, high design standards, and direct involvement from the studio lead on every project.
About the Role
We're looking for a mid-level Interior Designer to join our small studio. The studio lead sets the design vision, concept, mood boards, materials, and furniture selections for each project; you'll take that direction and turn it into precise, high-quality execution — drafting, detailing, technical layouts, and redesigns.
This is primarily an in-studio role. Occasional hybrid/remote work is available (for example, when the studio lead is traveling), with equipment provided.
What You'll Do
- Translate the studio lead's design direction and concepts into detailed drafts, technical drawings, and space plans.
- Apply pre-selected mood boards, materials, and furniture into finished layouts and documentation.
- Iterate quickly on redesigns and revisions based on feedback.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure designs are executed accurately.
- Maintain the studio's design standards across high-end client projects.
What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years of professional interior design experience.
- Strong technical/drafting skills and an eye for precision and detail.
- Proficiency in SketchUp and AutoCAD is required.
- Comfortable using AI design/productivity tools (renderings, drafting assistance, documentation) — increasingly a core part of the role.
- Comfortable executing a pre-set creative direction rather than selecting concepts, materials, or furniture independently.
- Reliable, collaborative, and communicative — this is a small, close-knit team.
- Based locally, available for full-time, primarily on-site work.
