We're partnering with a leading global, technology-driven firm to hire a  Senior Platform Engineer / SRE  to join its Global Compute Engineering team. This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced infrastructure engineer who enjoys building scalable, resilient, and highly automated platforms supporting complex, data-intensive environments across  Linux, Python, Cloud, Ansible, and Terraform . In this role, you'll design, build, and optimise the compute platforms that power high-performance workloads across a global infrastructure footprint. Working closely with software engineering teams, you'll drive infrastructure-as-code initiatives, automation frameworks, observability, and internal platform tooling to improve reliability, scalability, and developer productivity. Key Responsibilities Design and evolve scalable, high-performance compute platforms Build automation for provisioning, configuration, and infrastructure lifecycle management Develop internal tools, APIs, and platform abstractions that simplify infrastructure operations Enhance observability across metrics, logs, and distributed tracing Partner with engineering teams to improve scalability, reliability, and security Support incident response and continuous platform improvement initiatives Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices

What We're Looking For Strong Linux administration experience (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) Solid Python development skills Hands-on expertise with Ansible and Terraform Experience with AWS and/or GCP cloud environments Strong Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) mindset with a focus on automation and operational excellence Good understanding of observability tooling such as Prometheus Experience with Git-based development and deployment workflows
