Commodity Trading Analyst

We are seeking a Commodity Trading Analyst to support our energy trading and risk management activities, focusing on Brent crude oil and LNG futures . Working closely with the Lead Trader, you will assist with market analysis, hedging, risk monitoring, trade execution support, and the development of trading analytics tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor Brent and LNG futures markets, price movements, spreads, and futures curves.
• Support trading and hedging strategies through market research and analysis.
• Track positions, hedge effectiveness, margin requirements, and P&L.
• Assist with futures contract rollovers, risk reporting, and scenario analysis.
• Develop and enhance analytical tools using Excel, Python, and AI-assisted technologies.
• Support trade confirmations, reconciliations, settlements, and reporting activities.

Requirements

Essential

• Strong interest in commodity and energy markets.
• Understanding of futures, derivatives, and hedging concepts.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and basic to intermediate Python.
• Detail-oriented with strong risk awareness.
• Comfortable using AI tools to support analytics and development.

Preferred

• 1-3 years of experience in commodity trading, energy markets, risk management, treasury, or brokerage.
• Exposure to Brent, LNG/JKM, or other energy derivatives.
• Experience with Python, SQL, APIs, back-testing, or trading automation.
• Familiarity with futures margining, settlement, and P&L reporting
