Financial Accountant

I am currently partnering with one of our established, Law Firm clients who are looking for a qualified Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a 12-month fixed-term. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a broad financial accounting role with exposure to international operations and senior stakeholders.

Your tasks

You will be joining a collaborative global finance team, you'll take ownership of key financial accounting processes, ensuring the smooth delivery of month-end reporting, balance sheet integrity, audit coordination and compliance activities across multiple international locations.

• Lead month-end financial accounting activities, including payroll accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting and cash flow reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely management reporting, with a focus on controls, efficiency and reporting quality.
• Support year-end reporting and coordinate audit requirements across multiple offices and stakeholders.
• Prepare and review financial information relating to VAT, tax submissions and statutory reporting requirements.
• Partner with international finance teams to resolve accounting and reconciliation matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and controls.

Requirements

Key Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong financial accounting and month-end close experience.
• Proven background in balance sheet reconciliations and audit support.
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Experience within a professional services environment is advantageous but not essential.
