Your tasks:

• You prepare ingredients independently
• You apply basic cooking techniques
• You contribute to the composition and modification of menus, menu items and methods
• You are responsible for inventory and order management
• You provide technical guidance to assistant kitchen staff
• You report to a supervisor with culinary expertise

Your work conditions:

• Temporary contract (12 months) under Dutch hospitality collective labor agreement (CAO)
• Full-time: 38 hrs/week
• Start date: as soon as possible
• Competitive salary: 2900€ gross/month
• 2 days off per week + 20 days holiday per year

Your qualifications

• You have completed a vocational training in cooking (professional secondary education diploma)
• You have a first relevant and recent experience as a cook
• You have a good knowledge of basic cooking techniques
• You have a good knoweldge of products/ingredients
• You have a positive attitude and ability to work well with other team members
• A previous experience in a Chinese kitchen is a big plus, but what truly matters is your drive to learn, your curiosity and your passion for exploring a new culinary tradition

Your language skills

• You are fluent in English (min. B1 level).Click here to get more information about language levels
• Knowledge of Mandarin is a major asset, as the entire kitchen team communicates primarily in Mandarin
