Fire Protection Officer (m/f/d) (Engine Mechanic)

To strengthen our team in Erfurt, we are looking for a specialist (m/f/d) for the area of technical and organizational fire protection. In this position, you will take responsibility for the constant operational readiness and proper functioning of the existing fire detection and extinguishing systems as well as other fire protection equipment. You are responsible for carrying out regular maintenance as well as the implementation of technical projects, whereby a high degree of initiative is expected. - Specialist for fire detection systems - Specialist for water extinguishing systems m/f/d - Ensuring the constant operational readiness of the fire protection systems

• Carrying out switching operations on the fire detection system
• Documentation and planning of the weekly sprinkler test
• Organization of the statutory expert inspection
• Creation of error analyses on the fire protection monitoring systems
• Control of bus systems and communication interfaces
• Execution and control of ordering processes for the technical department
• Supervision of trades and external companies
• Coordination of cross-departmental activities
• Participation in the elaboration and implementation of technical projects and modernizations

A day in the life

Your day begins with a look at the status of the fire detection and extinguishing systems

• You check reports, evaluate the monitoring systems, and ensure that all fire protection equipment is ready for use. You perform switching operations on the fire detection system, document the weekly sprinkler test, organize expert inspections, and coordinate with external trades as well as other departments. If malfunctions occur, you get to the bottom of them with targeted error analyses. In addition, you contribute to technical projects and modernizations, thereby helping to strengthen safety at our location in the long term. As part of the on-call duty, you are also an important contact person when it matters outside of regular working hours.
• Participation in on-call duty - Completed training in mechanics, electromechanics, mechatronics, electrics, or vocational training in the field of factory/professional fire brigades as well as related training in technical areas
• At least two years of experience in handling fire detection systems
• Independent and reliable way of working
• Teamwork skills - English skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours
• Further training with a degree as a Master or Technician in the field of electrical engineering or mechanical engineering
• Knowledge and experience in the field of building, fire detection, sprinkler, security, and building automation technology
