Your tasks

About the Role Amana Staff is seeking compassionate, patient, and dependable Caregivers to provide high-quality personal care and daily living support to individuals who require assistance, including children, older adults and people with additional care needs.

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.

• Provide companionship, emotional support, and meaningful engagement.

• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe movement where required.

• Prepare meals and support feeding in accordance with individual needs and dietary instructions.

• Monitor clients’ general wellbeing and promptly report changes or concerns.

• Assist with medication reminders and follow authorised care instructions.

• Maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and hygienic care environment.

• Support appointments, light household tasks, and daily routines related to the client’s care.

• Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with family members and relevant healthcare professionals.

• Respect clients’ privacy, confidentiality, cultural preferences, and personal dignity.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must be empathetic, attentive, respectful, and committed to preserving the dignity, comfort, safety, and independence of those in their care.

• Previous experience in caregiving, elderly care, disability support, or a related role.

• Genuine compassion, patience, and emotional intelligence.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Understanding of personal care, hygiene, safety, and infection prevention.

• Ability to follow care plans and recognise when concerns require escalation.

• Reliability, professionalism, and a strong sense of responsibility.

• First aid, CPR, or relevant caregiving certifications are an advantage.

• Willingness to undergo reference checks, background screening, and appropriate health checks.
