Production Planning Manager

Alwan Tex | Egypt Alwan Tex, a growing company specialized in cotton textile and fabric manufacturing , is looking for an experienced Production Planning Manager to lead production planning and ensure that production decisions are aligned with market demand, sales forecasts, inventory levels, and available production capacity. Our production process starts from yarn , which is converted into woven fabric , followed by dyeing and finishing , then the finished fabric is stored and supplied to customers.

Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain monthly and annual production plans based on demand forecasts, historical sales, inventory levels, and production capacity.

Analyze historical sales and product movement to identify demand patterns and production requirements.

Coordinate with Sales to understand expected demand, customer requirements, and upcoming orders.

Determine the required production quantities for different fabric qualities, types, and colors.

Balance production requirements with available capacity across weaving, dyeing, and finishing processes .

Monitor inventory levels and recommend production adjustments to avoid overstocking or stock shortages.

Identify fast-moving and slow-moving products and recommend appropriate production quantities.

Follow up on production plans and compare planned vs. actual production .

Identify production bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.

Coordinate with Production, Sales, Warehouse, Procurement, and other relevant departments.

Prepare regular planning reports, forecasts, and management dashboards.

Support management in making data-driven decisions regarding production and inventory.

Continuously improve planning processes, forecasting accuracy, and inventory efficiency.

Requirements Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Textile Engineering, Supply Chain, Production Planning, or a related field .

8+ years of relevant experience in production planning, preferably within the textile, weaving, dyeing, or cotton fabric industry .

Strong understanding of textile production processes, particularly weaving, dyeing, and finishing .

Strong analytical and forecasting skills.

Good understanding of inventory management and production capacity planning.

Strong Excel and data analysis skills.

Experience working with ERP systems is preferred.

Strong communication and coordination skills.

Ability to work with multiple departments and manage changing priorities.
