As part of the creation of our Shared Services, we are recruiting a General Accountant.

This service center is intended to centralize and structure financial activities for several AES entities, in an international environment.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will work across a multi-entity scope and contribute to the construction of SSC standards.

Your missions:

General accounting and closings

  • Ensure daily accounting operations with the objective of reliability and compliance with deadlines.
  • Prepare and record closing entries (FNP, CCA, provisions, fixed assets, stocks, payroll journal, taxes.).
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and formalize the associated analyses.
  • Participate in the production and review of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
  • Actively contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, in compliance with local standards.
  • Participate in the analysis of variances vs budget and forecast, and propose corrective actions.

Intercompany coordination and compliance

  • Manage and reconcile intercompany operations (re-invoicing, overheads, cost allocations, shared services).
  • Interact with local accounting and tax service providers in different countries.
  • Participate in the production of tax returns and legal obligations in coordination with internal and external teams.
  • Contribute to external audits (preparation of deliverables, follow-up on requests, compliance with schedules).

SSC Construction & continuous improvement

  • Actively participate in the implementation and standardization of accounting processes within the Shared Services Center.
  • Identify and deploy improvement levers: automation, reliability, harmonization of practices.
  • Strengthen internal control mechanisms within your scope.
  • Collaborate closely with local and Group Finance teams.
  • Contribute to budget cycles, forecasts, and risk analyses.

Profile sought:

  • Higher education in accounting / finance (Bachelor's to Master's degree).
  • Significant experience in general accounting, ideally in a group and/or international environment.
  • Good mastery of closing processes and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency with ERP tools and Excel.
  • Professional English required (regular international exchanges). Spanish preferred.
  • Rigor, autonomy, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit.
