Fleet Manager (Logistics & Transport)

Your tasks

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee our logistics and transport fleet operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for fleet planning, driver management, maintenance, cost control, and ensuring efficient and safe transport services.

• Oversee overall fleet operations, including transport planning, vehicle utilisation, and delivery performance.
• Manage and supervise fleet supervisors, drivers, and transport personnel.
• Develop efficient transport schedules and optimise delivery routes.
• Monitor fleet operating costs, fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance, and repair expenses.
• Plan vehicle servicing, inspections, repairs, and replacement schedules.
• Ensure compliance with LTA regulations, road safety requirements, and company policies.
• Monitor driver productivity, fleet utilisation, and transport performance.
• Manage relationships with workshops, maintenance providers, and external vendors.
• Investigate accidents, breakdowns, and operational issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and implement procedures to improve fleet efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Prepare operational reports, budgets, and fleet performance reviews for management.
• Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure timely deliveries.

Requirements

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience managing drivers, vehicle fleets, maintenance, and transport operations.
• Experience in fleet budgeting, cost control, and operational planning.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and fleet management systems.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple operational priorities.
