Sr Accounting Manager

Responsibilities and duties

• Manage and coordinate the preparation of the consolidation of corporate financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international accounting standards.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and uniformity of accounting practices across all national and international subsidiaries.
• Lead the process of preparing accounting documents for disclosure to the CVM, including the balance sheet, income statement, DMPL, DRA, and DVA, ensuring the compliance and transparency of information.
• Perform advanced analyses of the Company's Corporate Financial Statements and those of controlled companies, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks, and presenting strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Manage the relationship with external audit, providing necessary support and information during the audit process and ensuring the efficient resolution of any issues raised.
• Provide guidance and technical support to various areas of the company, including FP&A, Management Accounting, Investor Relations, and Tax, to ensure the accuracy and consistency of accounting information used in decision-making.
• Stay updated on new accounting standards deliberated by the CVM and implement necessary changes in the company's accounting processes and systems.
• Collaborate with IT and Accounting teams to identify improvement opportunities in accounting systems and actively participate in systemic implementation or development projects related to accounting consolidation.
• Develop and lead the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and continuous development to ensure excellence in performance and the delivery of consistent results.

Requirements and qualifications

Academic Background:

• Degree in Accounting, Administration, or a related field (Post-graduation or MBA is desirable).

Certifications and Courses:

• Accounting Certification (CRC);
• Advanced knowledge in IFRS;
• Fluency in English is essential.

Experience:

• Desirable 8 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a publicly traded company;
• Previous experience in team leadership and coordination of accounting projects.
