Your tasks
As a Project Governance Manager (PMO), you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Collaborate with business units to prepare comprehensive business cases, project proposals and cost-benefit analyses to support funding requests.
- Prepare and present Applications for Approval (AFA) to relevant approval committees and governance forums.
- Ensure project proposals meet local and global governance standards and address all necessary approval requirements.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to clarify queries and facilitate timely approval decisions.
- Oversee the end-to-end governance process for IT system changes, ensuring all required reviews, approvals and sign-offs are obtained before deployment.
- Ensure compliance with established change management policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
- Coordinate with business and IT stakeholders to track change requests and maintain proper documentation throughout the approval process.
- Monitor adherence to system development lifecycle (SDLC) and change control requirements.
- Serve as the key liaison between local teams and Head Office on project governance, portfolio updates and approval matters.
- Ensure local project initiatives align with corporate strategies, governance requirements and reporting standards.
- Coordinate with business units, IT teams and senior stakeholders to resolve governance issues and facilitate effective decision-making.
- Prepare project reports, governance updates and supporting documentation for management review.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant PMO, Project Management or Business Analyst experience within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of IT project governance, SDLC and change management frameworks, with experience in tools such as Jira, Confluence or ServiceNow.
