We are looking for an experienced Data Centre Infrastructure Strategy& Design Lead to shape the design, expansion and modernisation of aregional data centre estate.
You will assess existing sites, define design standards, develop costedexpansion options and recommend infrastructure investments. The role coverspower, cooling, rack design, structured cabling and network connectivity,working closely with engineering consultants, colocation providers and seniortechnology stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Define data centre design, rack, power and cablingstandards
- Assess site capacity, infrastructure and expansionrequirements
- Develop costed options and business cases forinvestment
- Review and challenge rack, network and connectivitydesigns
- Manage consultants, vendors and colocationproviders
- Present clear recommendations to seniorstakeholders
Requirements
- Strong experience in data centre design,engineering or infrastructure strategy
- Good knowledge of UPS, PDU, cooling, containmentand power distribution
- Understanding of network architecture, includingspine-leaf and pod-based designs
- Experience developing costed solutions and businesscases
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills
- Regional or multi-site experience preferred
