Professional qualification

• Successfully completed studies in Business Administration or a comparable qualification; alternatively, commercial training, ideally in the field of freight forwarding and logistics.
• Several years of professional experience in the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
• Several years of leadership experience with personnel responsibility for teams with more than ten employees.
• Experience in budget management as well as profit and cost responsibility.
• Sound business administration knowledge as well as experience in KPI-based corporate management.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge in chemical logistics as well as in the dangerous goods sector is desirable.
• Good English skills (at least level B2); other foreign languages are an advantage.

Responsible and versatile – Your field of responsibility

• Functional and disciplinary management of the Forwarding organizational unit at the Hürth location, including the integrated Stade location.
• Overall responsibility for the economic development of the branch by achieving sales and profit targets as well as continuously increasing operational efficiency through process optimization, cost control, and optimal resource allocation.
• Development and implementation of the tactical and strategic direction of the area of responsibility in close cooperation with the Manager Operations Europe.
• Ensuring high customer satisfaction and long-term customer loyalty through excellent service and solution-oriented customer management.
• Active participation in the further development of the branch and the organization, including cross-departmental projects and committees.
• Promotion and anchoring of a value-oriented corporate culture, characterized by customer centricity, responsibility, courage, team spirit, trust, and ambition.
• Further development of a modern, appreciative, and performance-oriented leadership culture as well as the promotion and development of employees.
