Senior Specialist, Financial Reporting

Job purpose

To maintain accurate financial reports, conduct variance analysis, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and support month-end closing and audits, ensuring adherence to accounting standards.

Key accountability areas

Financial reporting & analysis:

Generate and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Analyze financial data to uncover trends and evaluate performance metrics.

Variance & performance analysis:

Perform variance analysis by comparing actual results with budgeted figures, providing insights into performance and identifying areas for improvement.

Budgeting & forecasting support:

Assist in the development of financial forecasts and contribute to monthly plan updates, ensuring they align with organizational objectives.

Division-level reporting:

Produce financial reports specific to different divisions, providing a clear and detailed overview of performance across various business areas.

Month-end closing & audit assistance:

Calculate and verify month-end results, ensuring the completeness of reports, and provide support during audit processes by preparing necessary documentation.

Provide a periodic report detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products, processes, or related activities.

Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities as much as possible.

Comply with related policy and procedures and work instructions.

Health, safety, and environment:

Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.

Academic qualification

Bachelor degree in accounting and finance or any relevant field.

Work experience

4 to 6 years.
