DAR Engineering, a leading design and engineering consulting organization in Saudi Arabia engaged in power generation, electrical transmission and distribution, health care, and high-rise buildings.
Job purpose
Responsible for designing, reviewing, developing, installing, managing, and maintaining instruments and DCS control system, which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery, and processes.
Functional responsibilities
Review project I&C documents that include methodology, quality assurance, control procedures, engineering, and construction time schedule.
Implement and monitor all I&C-related operations at the site as per approved drawings, methods, and safety rules.
Prepare and review technical submittals such as design, specifications, drawings, calculations, method statements, TPIs, risk assessments, etc. for compliance with client’s requirements, authority requirements, end-user requirements, local and international standards.
Oversee and inspect site construction work daily, witness tests, identify non-compliance to construction documentation, and recommend corrective measures.
Coordinate daily with the team leader and other team members to verify, document, and report quality issues of work performed by the sub-contractors and provide or suggest corrective actions.
Process (review and comment) incoming and outgoing correspondences.
Monitor progress, record, and identify risks and potential delays and provide or suggest solutions.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports (in English) with details of observed works, quality, progress (fabrication and construction), testing of components, and status of materials procurement and delivery to site.
Ensure high quality of works during the service, strict compliance with the client’s requirements, project specifications, and HSE requirements.
Assess sub-contractor’s compliance with the quality management system as specified in the latest applicable standards. Report any non-conformity found to the concerned parties.
Evaluate sub-contractor's personnel, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
Participate in project construction meetings whenever required.
Assist in resolution of construction problems.
Analyze value engineering proposals.
Coordinate with other team members.
