Electrical Automotive And Equipment Technician

Job purpose

To efficiently diagnose, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in automotive vehicles and equipment.

Key accountability areas

Have good training in electrical systems for automotive vehicles and equipment.

Have knowledge of all the electrical components: starter motor, alternator, battery charging system, AC system, and how to repair them.

Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams for all types of equipment.

Knowledge of the standard symbols for electrical systems.

Have good knowledge about hydraulic systems and engines.

Role accountability

Identify electrical problems, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues.

Perform necessary electrical repairs for all types of equipment and vehicles.

Inspect and check every part of the automotive vehicle and equipment.

Perform necessary repairs for the starter motor, alternator, electrical wiring, and related components.

Check and inspect the dashboard.

Inspect and check the battery charging system.

Perform necessary repairs for the electrical parts of the engine.

Perform required repairs for the AC system.

Follow the electrical wiring circuit to identify problems and repair them.

Check and measure the fuses and relay boxes and repair when needed.

Inspect coils and sensors and repair when needed.

Academic qualification

High school diploma or equivalent.

Work experience

5 to 10 years.
