Junior Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a Junior QA Engineer — an enthusiastic fresh graduate who will support our QA squad in functional and API testing, execution tracking, and defect triage across web and mobile applications in the banking domain. This is an entry‑level role with strong mentorship opportunities under experienced QA leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Functional Testing Support : Assist Senior QAs in executing functional test cases for web and mobile applications, validating requirements and ensuring workflows perform correctly.
• API Testing Assistance : Support API testing (REST/JSON/XML) by executing basic test scripts, validating responses, and documenting results under supervision.
• Test Execution Tracking : Follow checklists, execute minor test cases, and help track daily progress in Zephyr or equivalent test management tools.
• Defect Logging : Document defects in Jira/Zephyr, reproduce issues when needed, and communicate findings to developers under guidance.
• Daily Progress Reporting ; Assist in preparing daily QA status updates for stakeholders, ensuring transparency on test execution and defect triage.
• Learning & Collaboration ; Work closely with Senior QAs to learn test planning, requirement validation, and UAT support. Participate in team meetings and workshops.

Prerequisites

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (fresh graduates welcome).
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts (manual testing, defect lifecycle, SDLC).
• Familiarity with test management tools (Zephyr, Jira, or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and proactive attitude.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Interest in banking/financial services applications is a plus.
