Manager Quality Assurance International – Pantry (m/f/d) (Commercial Specialist)

These are your tasks

• You are an active team member in our FMCG purchasing team
• You are responsible for the quality aspects of, among others, our private label products in the product categories canned goods, sauces & dressings, vegetable oils, spices, ready meals, cured sausage, rice, pasta and pulses
• You develop and maintain product specifications, taking into account our quality standards as well as food law requirements
• You continuously identify potential for optimization and product innovations, initiate corresponding measures and monitor their implementation.
• You work closely with external testing institutes and manufacturers and advise other specialist departments on product law and quality issues
• You ensure compliance with our quality and sustainability standards in tenders
• You define measures in the event of negative audit or test results and accompany their implementation.
• You actively participate in internal tastings and contribute your technical expertise to product evaluation.
• You provide support within the framework of risk management (e.g., definition and monitoring of corrective actions or the organization of withdrawals or recalls)
• You support the development of training concepts and documents
• You support project work on quality-relevant topics

This is what you bring with you

• Completed studies in the field of food chemistry, food technology, nutritional science or comparable
• Several years of experience in quality assurance, quality management, and in the investigation and evaluation of FMCG (private label) products
• Confident application and interpretation of national and European legal norms
• Knowledge of relevant certification systems, quality seals and requirements of consumer magazines and NGOs
• Analytical and structured way of working
• Strong communication skills and team orientation
• Confident handling of relevant application software as well as good English language skills
