Primary Class Teacher

Aldenham Prep School Riyadh is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated primary class teacher to join our growing school community in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with a strong understanding of the British curriculum and a genuine commitment to supporting pupils’ academic, social, and personal development. We are looking for a teacher who can create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where pupils are motivated, challenged, and supported to achieve their full potential.

The role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a primary class and delivering high-quality learning across the core curriculum. They will work closely with year group colleagues, phase leaders, specialist teachers, and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure strong pupil progress, high standards of behaviour, and excellent pastoral care.

The role requires a teacher who is organised, reflective, flexible, and committed to contributing positively to the wider life of the school.

Key responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the British curriculum.

Create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

Support pupils’ academic progress, wellbeing, and personal development.

Use assessment effectively to inform planning and support pupil outcomes.

Maintain high expectations for learning, behaviour, and classroom routines.

Work collaboratively with colleagues across the primary phase.

Communicate professionally and effectively with parents and staff.

Contribute to school events, enrichment activities, and the wider school community.

Uphold the school’s safeguarding, child protection, and professional conduct expectations.

The successful candidate will have

A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, B.Ed., QTS, or equivalent.

Experience teaching within the primary age range.

Strong knowledge of the British curriculum.

Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

A commitment to high standards of teaching, learning, and pastoral care.

A positive, professional, and collaborative approach.

A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.

Experience in an international school or Middle East setting would be advantageous, but is not essential.
