IT Support Specialist
1 IT Support Specialist in full-time with 38.5 hours per week
Your tasks: Providing support on the Client Windows platform for desktop/end-user technologies, collaboration tools, mobile technologies, and printers, including all laptops/mobile devices, video conferencing, network/remote access; this position works together with the Service Desk to resolve end-user disruptions and other support functions.
- Diagnosis and troubleshooting of problems with desktop systems, printers, and operating systems
- Advising and instructing users on questions and problems with hardware and software
- Collaboration with other IT services teams for data centers and network infrastructure
- Installation, maintenance, and upgrading of devices and associated infrastructure
- Performing diagnostic tests to narrow down system problems
- Operating systems Windows 7, Windows 10, and Windows 11, Mac OS-X
- Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems, including the creation of an RCA
- Responds to phone calls, emails, service tickets, and sent requests for technical support
- Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a solution within a specific SLA window
What you bring:
- A+ certification or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years of experience providing technical support in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment up to the executive level.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, including VIP support
- Experience supporting large Windows-based environments at the desktop level with a focus on Win 7 OS / Office 2010 as well as Win 8/10 and O365 or MS365 software
- Support of end users for video conferencing
- Support of mobile devices
Basic requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills
- Commercial experience as an IT Support Technician, at least one year of experience in technical support in a mixed Windows environment (Mac clients an advantage)
- Independent and able to actively collaborate with others in a cross-functional team
- Proven attention to detail and high quality standards
- High organizational/administrative/technical skills
- Basic English skills in speaking and writing
- Skillful documentation of written steps and troubleshooting instructions
- Professional manners
Advantageous:
- Experience with remote maintenance technologies such as Remote Desktop (Microsoft), Apple Remote Desktop, VNC
- 2 years of experience with mobile applications/products, including: iPhone, iPad, and Android platforms; expertise in iPad/iPhone
