Do I need experience as a delivery driver? No. Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is not required. During your first working days, you will be trained by an experienced buddy. You will learn how to use the delivery van, handheld scanner and systems, as well as how to deliver orders and deal with different situations at the customer's door. Once you are familiar with the job, you can start driving your routes independently. Can I submit my own availability? Yes. You can let us know when you are available, and this will be taken into account when the schedule is created. You can work between 12 and 32 hours per week. For this position, you need to be available for at least two shifts per week and at least two Saturdays per month. What does a typical shift involve? You start at Linie 11, collect your van and check your route. You then drive to the customers scheduled for your shift. At each stop, you scan and deliver the groceries, help the customer when needed and collect empty crates. After your final delivery, you return to the location and complete your shift. Can I develop within this role? Yes. Once you have gained experience, there are opportunities to take on additional responsibilities. For example, you may become a buddy and help train new delivery drivers during their first working days.
