Functieomschrijving Delivery Driver Albert Heijn Online | Almere As a delivery driver for Albert Heijn Online in Almere, you take online grocery orders on the final part of their journey: from the delivery location to the customer's front door. At the beginning of your shift, you collect the keys to your delivery van and check the route prepared for you. Once you are ready, you head out to your first address. Navigation guides you between customers in Almere and the surrounding area. At each stop, you select the correct order from the van and check it with a handheld scanner. You then carry the grocery crates to the customer's door. You make sure every order is handed over in a friendly and professional way. If a payment needs to be processed, you take care of it. Empty crates and returnable packaging can also be collected before you leave. Then it is time for your next delivery. You will spend plenty of time behind the wheel, but this is not a job where you sit down all day. Getting in and out of the van, walking to customers' doors and carrying grocery crates are all part of a normal shift. Once your final order has been delivered, you return to the Almere location. You can submit your availability and work between 12 and 32 hours per week. Deliveries take place from Monday through Sunday, with shifts available at different times of the day. You need to be available for at least two shifts per week and at least two Saturdays per month. Is this an active job? Yes. Driving is only one part of the role.
