2310 Pastoral Care/Lakeside MRT

Job position: Pastoral Care

Salary range: 2000-2700

Contract Period: 1 March 2027 to 31December 2027.

Option period: 1 January 2028 to 31December 2028.

Personnel to be deployed atthe following hours:

· Mondays to Wednesdays: 7:30am to 5:00pm, withlunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.

· Thursdays and Fridays: 7:30am to 12:00pm.

· Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays,gazetted public holidays and school holidays, unless directed by the school andmutually agreed.

Requirements:

· At least two years of relevant experience incounselling, pastoral care, youth work, student support or working withfamilies with primary school-aged children and youth.

· Good interpersonal and communication skills.

· Experience planning or conducting mentoring,educational, physical or student-engagement activities for primary school-agedchildren is an advantage.

Job Scopes:

The Servicesrequired are set out as follows:

1. Befriend andmentor Higher Needs Students, providing guidance, encouragement and individualsupport.

1. Conduct targetedengagement and informal conversations to build resilience, a growth mindset andpositive attitudes towards school and learning.

1. Lead simple,age-appropriate exercises and light physical activities to support physical andmental well-being.

1. Co-createpractical resources for the in-house Lifeskills Programme, includingflashcards, activity kits, crafts, visual aids and gamified orfinancial-literacy resources.

1. Accompanyteachers on after-school learning journeys and supervise and engage students;bus bookings and procurement are excluded from this role.

1. Support studentsduring homework-care sessions and report participation or completion concernsto designated staff.

1. Conductschool-directed home visits in coordination with the Student Welfare Officer toengage families and understand student support needs.
