Al Fanar School is a KHDA-licensed British curriculum school in Nad Al Sheba, Dubai. We are looking for a nursery teacher to lead a class from as early as possible this term.

Our early years practice is informed by Waldorf principles — rhythm, play, story, movement and plenty of time outdoors. Prior Waldorf training is welcome but not required. What matters is an interest in working this way and a willingness to be trained in it.

The role

You will be the main teacher for a nursery class, planning and delivering the EYFS curriculum, leading an assistant teacher, tracking each child's development through observation, and building open relationships with families. You will prepare a calm, well-ordered indoor and outdoor environment, and work with the inclusion team so every child can take part.

We are looking for

A bachelor's degree plus a recognised teaching qualification — PGCE, QTS, EYTS or equivalent

At least two years' teaching experience in nursery, FS1 or an equivalent early years setting

Sound working knowledge of the EYFS framework

Eligibility for a KHDA teaching permit, including attestation and MoHESR equivalency where required

Fluent English, and real warmth and patience with very young children

Waldorf or Steiner early years training, UAE or GCC experience, outdoor or nature-based practice, and paediatric first aid are all an advantage
