Deputy IT Manager (m/f/d) (Head of IT)

For our client in the Bochum area, we are looking for a Deputy IT Manager (m/f/d) with sound experience in SAP basis support, server administration, and network administration to start as soon as possible.

In this responsible position, you will combine your technical expertise with organizational and conceptual tasks. You will support the IT department both in day-to-day operations and in the further development of the IT infrastructure and the digitalization strategy.

Your tasks:

• You support the IT management in the technical, organizational, and strategic development of IT. In doing so, you participate in the optimization of business processes, economic and conceptual IT planning, as well as the development and implementation of the digitalization strategy. Additionally, you assume leadership responsibility and represent the IT management in their absence
• You participate in the selection of technical suppliers, request and evaluate offers. Furthermore, you coordinate the alignment between specialist departments and suppliers and accompany the technical implementation of various IT projects
• You are responsible for the administration and support of the SAP system landscape, including installation of Service Packs for Core/HCM, system measurements, system copies, and monitoring. In addition, you support users with technical questions and coordinate cooperation with module consultants and external service providers.
• You take over the administration and maintenance of the server operating systems as well as the network environment. This includes the monitoring of relevant services, regular maintenance and care work, as well as ensuring a stable and reliable IT operation

Your profile:

• Completed studies in the IT field or a comparable qualification
• Willingness for continuous further training in relevant IT topics
• High level of commitment as well as an independent, structured, and careful way of working
• Basic knowledge in the field of IT risk management
• Good knowledge of Windows environments and Microsoft Office
• Several years of professional experience in the administration of SAP, servers, and networks
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• Good English skills in speaking and writing
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment in collaborating with specialist departments, service providers, and external partners
• Sense of responsibility and interest in actively shaping strategic topics alongside operational tasks
