Project Coordinator Mechanical Engineering (m/f/d)

For our internationally active industrial client in the Dortmund area, we are looking for an Order Coordinator (m/f/d) for conversion and modernization projects in mechanical and plant engineering within the framework of temporary employment, starting immediately. The assignment is initially budgeted until the end of the year and can be extended to a maximum assignment duration of 24 months. A chance for permanent employment is quite realistic and given.

Your tasks:

• Schedule monitoring and coordination of conversion and modernization orders in an international project environment
• Control and tracking of order processing as well as ensuring timely implementation
• Coordination and clarification of open points with internal specialist departments (e.g., design, purchasing, logistics, and project management)
• Planning, maintenance, and monitoring of milestones as well as project-relevant data in the SAP system
• Creation, coordination, and distribution of schedules as well as conducting regular coordination meetings within the project team
• Support in initiating logistical measures as well as in material coordination
• Creation of purchase requisitions for project-related requirements
• Organization and implementation of project-related kick-off meetings
• Identification of deviations as well as active participation in the development of solutions during the project course

Your profile:

• Completed studies in a technical or economic-technical field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or a comparable qualification
• Initial to several years of professional experience in a project environment, ideally in mechanical or plant engineering
• Good technical understanding as well as interest in complex project processes
• Good English skills in speaking and writing
• Confident handling of MS Office; SAP knowledge is an advantage
• Structured and independent way of working as well as strong organizational skills
